Peter Battle has been appointed chief executive of Capstone Foster Care, taking over from Richard Compton-Burnett, who had led the group for more than 13 years.

Peter, who has held chief executive roles at Accomplish Group and Oakdale Care Group, said:

“It is a real privilege to work with such a committed team making such a difference to children and young people, particularly given the current challenges we face as a society. There is a clear and significant demand for our Multidisciplinary Assessment and Treatment Service (MATS) and our core placements. We will be striving to provide fulfilment to more vulnerable children and young people all across the country in the coming years.”

Founded in 2007, Capstone operates from offices throughout England, covering the South East, South West, the Midlands and the North, and supports more than 600 foster carers.

Over the past five years, it has grown through acquisitions, buying Welcome Foster Care, Classic Foster Care, FosterCare UK, and Excel Fostering.
