Investment company Downing LLP has appointed Chris Breen as chief executive of Downing Care to lead the provider’s growth and oversee its expansion into supported living.
Chris’s previous role was with Achieve together where he was Director of Operations for two years. Before this, he was Director of Operations at Priory Group.
Downing LLP has owned the operator, which provides residential care and support for adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and physical disabilities, for 18 years. Downing Care currently operates four properties with 37 beds in Hampshire and Surrey.
Speaking of his appointment, Chris said, ‘I’m really looking forward to taking Downing Care to the next level. Downing has a clear vision for growth in specialist care and the standard of care that these facilities provide is top of the range.’
Torsten Mack, Investment Director with Downing said, ‘a key part of Downing’s healthcare strategy going forward is to continue to selectively invest in the specialist care space, either through Downing Care or by supporting other management teams with growth and development.
