With a background in special education, Leo brings a deep understanding and empathy to Edison Education, which currently has a portfolio of schools and residential homes catering to children with behavioural and complex care needs.
Working closely with Tommy MacDonald-Milner, Edison CEO, the recruitment process began during the first lockdown. As we ran the process schools were closed, travel was restricted and interaction outside the household curtailed, therefore, our commitment to our clients to meet and interview candidates ‘face to face’ had to be overcome; like most organisations we had to adapt our process.
The challenge – not surprisingly the last thing on most candidates’ minds, was a career move, so our understanding of Edison, the specialist education market, and our ability to adapt our process was key to this successful hire.
