Children’s services business, Edison Young People has appointed Natalie-Jane MacDonald to the position of Chair.

The business is focused on schools offering education for children with complex additional needs and high-quality residential care, all supported by therapeutic services.

Natalie joins the group as an experienced Chair and CEO with a number of successful change management projects to her credit both here in the UK and internationally.

Speaking of her appointment, Natalie said, “I joined Edison Young People as I am like-minded with the ethos and values of the Foundation, the investors, and, having led Acorn Care and Education previously I know there is a huge and growing need in this area.  It’s also very stimulating working with the management team in a small business with a growth trajectory.”

The ambition for the organisation which operates across the West and East Midlands is to be rooted in offering the highest quality of provision and helping to assure smooth transitions to young adulthood with the appropriate degree of independence for each child.

Prior to Natalie joining Edison Young People, she was CEO at Sunrise Senior Living until the end of 2021. Previously, she was CEO at Acorn Care and Education and MD of Bupa’s UK PMI and Clinics business prior to that.
